Methodology

Transparency and reproducibility are foundational to our work. This page outlines the principles and practices that guide how we produce energy market intelligence at Global Energy Network.

Data Sources

Our analysis draws on a combination of primary and secondary data sources. These include official government statistical agencies, international organizations (IEA, EIA, OPEC, IRENA), commodity exchange data, regulatory filings, corporate disclosures, and proprietary datasets developed in-house. Where we use third-party data, we cite the source and version explicitly.

Analytical Framework

Each analysis follows a structured framework: we define the question, identify relevant data, apply quantitative methods appropriate to the problem, and present findings with explicit assumptions and limitations. We use supply-demand balance models, regression analysis, scenario modeling, and comparative benchmarking depending on the topic.

Quality Assurance

All published content undergoes a multi-stage review process. Raw data is validated against multiple sources before incorporation. Analytical conclusions are reviewed for logical consistency and cross-checked against historical patterns. Factual claims are verified independently before publication.

Corrections Policy

If we identify an error in published content — whether in data, analysis, or presentation — we issue a correction promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with a description of what changed and why.

Independence

Global Energy Network maintains editorial independence from the entities and markets we cover. Our analysis is not influenced by commercial relationships, advertising arrangements, or external stakeholders. We disclose any potential conflicts of interest where applicable.
